Monthly vs. Bimonthly vs. Quarterly Pest Control: Finding the Right Level of Protection

At Pest Annihilator, we use modern, residual pest control products designed to create long-lasting protection around your home. The correct service frequency depends on how fast pests reproduce, how far they travel, how long the exterior barrier remains effective, and simply customer preference. Every home and customer is different. Some customers prefer a full interior and exterior treatment every month, while others only need service once or twice a year. In many cases, after the initial treatment, ongoing protection can be maintained with regular exterior service alone. Much like lawn care, all I need is access to the yard, and I can keep the protective barrier in place while you’re at work, on vacation, or simply going about your day.

The initial service fee is $150 for a complete interior and exterior treatment or $115 for exterior-only service. This same pricing applies anytime it has been more than 90 days since your last treatment. Even the most effective professional-grade residual products have a limited lifespan, with treatments on structures generally providing protection for up to 90 days and treatments applied to grass and foliage typically lasting around 30 days depending on weather and environmental conditions. When service has been inactive beyond that period, a new initial treatment is needed to re-establish a strong protective barrier.

There are no contracts, cancellation fees, or long-term commitments. If you decide to skip service, that’s completely fine. However, recurring maintenance pricing is based on staying within the recommended service intervals. Monthly service is $65, bi-monthly service is $80, and quarterly service is $105. If service extends beyond 90 days, the initial service rate applies to restore protection before maintenance pricing can resume.

🟧 Bimonthly Service – General Pest Maintenance (Every 60 Days)

Perfect for:

  • Ants

  • Spiders

Why Certain Pests Are Not Covered on Bimonthly

We still treat mosquitoes, fleas, ticks, etc. when we see them, but they are not guaranteed because:

  • Their life cycles finish long before 60 days

  • Mosquitoes constantly migrate from neighboring areas

  • Flea/tick eggs hatch in waves every few weeks

  • Weather events (heavy rain) can cause premature wash-off

This is excellent general protection, but not enough for fast-breeding or flying pests.

Quarterly Service – Essential Pest Prevention (Every 90 Days)

Ideal for homes with:

  • Low pest pressure

  • Occasional invaders

  • Basic preventative needs

Products labeled “up to 90 days” begin to weaken toward the end of that cycle due to:

  • UV rays

  • Rain & irrigation

  • Heat

  • Wind

What You Might See Before Your Next Service

In the final 1–2 weeks, it’s normal to see:

  • Occasional bugs

  • A few dead or dying insects indoors

This means the barrier is reaching the end of its effective life—not that you’re getting an infestation.
